Popsicle Stick Crossbow

This crossbow can easily be made with some used Popsicle sticks and some hair clips. It can shoot matches or toothpicks very far.

Step 1- the Materials

For this project you will need 3 Popsicle sticks, (one isn't pictured sorry) some thread, 2 hair clips, and some paint(optional)

Step 2- the Bow

Hot glue the two hair clips together and glue 2 one centimetre Popsicle stick parts on to them.

Step 3-The Handle and Base

The handle is made from 2 one and a half centimetre Popsicle stick pieces, with a 1 centimetre piece in the middle.

The base is made by gluing one of the shortened Popsicle sticks to the base, then putting another one on slightly lower than the first. After that put another Popsicle stick on the other side.

Step 4-The Slit for the String

For the string slit you simply put a little notch in the wood about 2/3 of the way down the base.

Step 5-The Finishing Touches

For the last step you'll need to put the hair band thing on the base. Next you can put the string on by simply hot gluing both ends of the thread to the ends of the hair bands.(Make sure that they are tight) Finally you can paint and sand it down if you want to. (I also added some thread onto the front to make it look better)
