Pop Tart Box Dice Tower

Hi,

I Like board games. In particular i am partial to Zombicide and King of Tokyo and there is nothing worse than when you roll the dice and they slide off the table or into the board knocking over your miniatures.

Well in this instructable I am going to show you how to make a dice tower out of a pop tarts box, so not only do you get a cheap dice tower but also some tasty treats as well.

Lets go.

Materials

Empty pop tarts box

Sellotape (but for the purposes of this instrutable i will be using masking tape as it shows up better in photos)

Tools

Scissors

Craft knife

Dice to test it ;)

Carefully pull apart your pop tarts box along all the glued seams. you dont want it to rip.

From the top of the box cut all but one of the over laying flaps off (the one that would tuck into the other one to close the box)

Trim off the indent to even up the flap thats still attached.

Use a bit of tape to hold the flap at an angle and then add some tape on the top of the flap to hold it in place

Take the other over laying flap (the one you cut off) and trim it down in line with the slot.

place a bit of tape along the underside and tape it in place around two thirds down the opposite side from the top most flap. place a bit of tape along the top and then secure it at an angle like you did in the previous step.

Carefully place some tape on the open side flaps leaving enough tape to stick to the inside of the box.

Tape the box shut but leave the bottom end open

Reach in to the box and secure the tape.

Once thats done tape the bottom shut.

On the side of the box that has the topmost flap take your craft knife and cut a line from either side roughly the same height from the bottom of the box as the remaining flaps that you have cut off.

Cut along the bottom most edge of the box and then cut this section up the middle to for a saloon door type of feel.

With about a centimeter of overlap tape your remaining two flaps to the "doors" and then bring them together and tape them in place forming a coral for your dice.

You can leave it as a curve or bend it into angles, it's up to you.

And there you have it, a really cheap dice tower.

If you want you can decorate it up to add that bit extra to your gaming nights.
