Pool Noodles Melting Candle Decoration
I made a halloween decoration for your home! It’s made out of easy to get supplies and cheap and durable products. It is a budget friendly creation that will still spice up any space desired, from your home to your office for halloween! I made this to make halloween fun and easy to decorate for.
Supplies
I used pool noodles, hot wire, black spray paint, scissors, masking tape, hot glue gun, cardboard, excato knife and items from dollar tree such as eyeballs, moss, and a few flowers.
I also modified the drill in the photo above to be able to easily make holes in all my pool noodles to fit my candles.

Firstly, I got a piece of cardboard from a computer box and drew a circle on it with a pencil, then I used my exacto knife to cut on the line I drew to reveal my circle. Next I took my cardboard and black spray paint and made a set up to safely spray paint two coats on my cardboard that I just cut. I waited for it to dry before moving along, and carefully set my now black cardboard circle aside for my next step.
Next, I got about 4 pool noodles and roughly cut them with scissors in various sizes. Then I used the hot wire to make an angle as shown in my final product. This gives the candles a better melting effect and reveals the actual tea light candle much better. After I had finished all of the pool noodles I used a hot glue gun to make the ‘dripping’ effect of the candle. I did this by picking a spot on my pool noodle to start my drip and simply let the hot glue drip down the noodle. Then I took all of my pool noodles to my spray paint set up to safely spray paint all of them for the first coat. In the end all of the pool noodles eventually had 2 coats of spray paint on them with some eventual touch ups at the end.
In step 3 I used the drill that I had modified to create bigger holes in the pool noodles so that it was easier and faster to put my tea light candles in them. Then I hot glued all of my pool noodles onto the cardboard in the exact spots that I thought fit and looked the best. Then with my dollar tree flowers and tea light candles, I took to my spray paint set up and spray painted one coat on all of them so that they were black. I did put masking tape on the candles flame so that no spray paint got on them.
Final step is all of my finishing touches. I hot glued my flowers, eyeballs, and moss onto my cardboard in various spots to make my project look more ‘creepy’ and real! And that’s it! Above is another photo of the finial product.
