Polymer Clay Macaron USB Flash Drive
In this Insructable I am going to show you how to make this super cute polymer clay macaron USB flash drive.
You will need:
Polymer clay
A blade to cut
A flash drive
An oven
A sharp instrument - you can use a nail art tool or a clip
A mat to work on
Gather Your Supplies
I used brown and white polymer clay and mixed them together to get a lighter shade.
I also mixed a piece of brown polymer clay with black clay to get a darker brown. That's going to be our filling.
I made two equally big balls of light brown polymer clay.I flattened them and made them look like burger patties.
Ruffle the Edges
Take each piece and gently ruffle the edges with the sharp tool of your choice.
Do this along the whole edge of each patty.
Make the Filling
Flatten the darker shade of brown and make it slightly smaller than the patties.
Make Space for Your Flash Drive
Now it's time to make space for the flash drive.Take the filling piece and put your flash drive over it.
Cut around the flash drive and smooth out any imperfections.
Assemble Your Macaron
Put a patty piece then your filling piece and the second patty picece.Smooth your macaron out.
Bake it according to the instructions of your clay.
When you take it out of the oven put something in the hole to keep it from getting smaller. You can do that before you bake your macaron, too. It's important to do this otherwise you won't be able to insert your flash drive.
Put Your Flash Drive In
Insert your flash drive inside the hole you made.
I did not see the need to use glue, but you can use some to make it even more secure.
You Are Done!
Your macaron flash drive is ready!
