Planting Lily, Tulip or Hyacinths Indoor

As most of us are currently at home, it is good to keep ourselves busy and productive. I love cooking and gardening. So I am here with my instructable on planting lily, tulip or hyacinths indoor.

As I am using a transparent plastic pot so that it looks beautiful, but at the same time I want to keep it safe, so I thought it would be best if I hang it and so I made a pot hanger.

1) A round transparent pot, could use an oval pot

2) Glass pebbles or beads

3) lily, tulip or hyacinths bulbs

4) water

5) colorful thin nylon ropes for making pot hanger

Take some pebbles / beads, fill the pot a bit (about 1/4), this will help to contain water at the bottom while bulbs are sitting on it and remove the bulbs from the pack

Place the bulbs, such that roots are at the bottom and a bit supported by the side walls of the pot if possible

Add more pebbles / beads, such that the bulbs are well supported and add water only till the roots or bit of the bottom of bulbs dip in water. Note : Do not completely submerge the bulbs in water.

Take care daily, see that the water does not completely evaporates. As mentioned in the video, keep the plant in dark place for few weeks, until you have good amount of roots, that will eventually lead to have good green leaves, then bring it in sun and after that you can plant in soil, when it grows a big as shown in the pictures.

We took three thin color nylon rope and first braided to form long rope. Then we followed the video, I used a thin blue rope and passed it through all the outer knots, so that I can pull close and tie to form a loop, as seen in next pictures.

I dropped the whole thing (pot hanger) on top of the pot, sorry accidentally removed the blue rope in the picture, so after putting it on the pot, pull the blue rope that was passing through the knots and tie it to form a loop a bit bigger than the base diameter of the pot, or follow as shown in video.
