For this project I had created a planter for the plant called Mother of Thousands. Our planter design must be creative and is visually attractive to be able to look at when it's placed on the window sill of a classroom. But the planter must be able to provide the conditions of what the Mother of Thousands needs.

Research

Before brainstorming on how the planter should look like, we first must have to research the plant to know what the plant needed for it to survive and grow.

The plant needs holes under the planter to be able to have the water go through the holes. They need a lot of light but during the hotter months, the plant must be in indirect sunlight. The plant grows the best in the temperature of 65-75 Fahrenheit (16 to 24 Celsius). The Mother of THousands soil does best in sandy soil that drains well, so a good choice for the soil would have to be the potting mix that is designed for cacti.

We started to draw out our ideas for a planter for the plant, once we were able to get at least three ideas on the next page of the packet we drew an isometric drawing and orthographic drawing.

After we are done brainstorming and drawing. We use the Fusion 360 to make our planter.

There were a lot of extruding and difficulties with designing the planter but I was able to create the planter I had in mind.

Adjusting and Then Printing Out the Plant

I did some adjustments to the planter since the container that has the name Kreideprinz on it has holes for drainage, I separately printed the container and the box so the container could be on top of the box. The container was a bit big but I was able to line up the holes so it could drain the water into the box.
