Placemat Into Wall Art
I wanted to add some color to the plain, somewhat lumpy walls in my guest bedroom, without the commitment of paint or wallpaper. Some bamboo placemats were just the ticket!
This doesn't even require a detailed tute; just get some neat open-weave bamboo placemats, paint with craft paints in your choice of colors, and adhere to the wall.
This could be great for an apartment/dorm; since they're so lightweight, you could attach using removable mounting pieces and avoid making nail holes.
