The Pizza Dough!

Skip reading this if you know how to make pizza dough! For novices like me..read on!

Basically combine flour, salt, dry active yeast and sugar in a bowl..then knead it into a dough. Then pour a tablespoon of oil onto this dough and knead the oil into the dough. To give the pizza flavor, add basil into your flour before kneading it.

Once kneaded, put this dough into an oiled container with room over it..and cover the container. Set aside at some warm place until you see that the dough has doubled in volume. Since it's cold here, I left it overnight to expand.

The Base

Roll the dough into a ball.

Flatten this ball using a rolling pin.

Use a knife to poke into this dough base and create short vertical lines.

The Sauce

Smear sauce generously over the entire base.

The Topping

Sprinkle your topping (finely chopped veggies in my case) over the base.

That's How I Roll

Yes! Roll it up into a cylinder and smoothen it by rolling this cylinder on the counter.

Cut It Up

Cut this cylinder into thinner cylinders.

Roll them over some dry flour so that they don't get sticky and/or break in handling.

Heart Shaped

For turning circles into hearts:

Turn the circle into a triangle. <|

Poke into the mid point of any side of this triangle, while holding the other two edges. <| <------

Round the two lobes to turn it into a heart <3

Cheese!

Prepare to Bake!

Sprinkle flour onto your baking dish.

Place these hearts gently onto the dish, evenly spaced.

Sprinkle oil generously over them.

While doing so, preheat the microwave.

One Last Poke

Because the dough will expand, use a spoon to poke into the middle of the two lobes to define the shape.

Bake It!

WP_20150208_17_35_45_Pro.jpg

Put the dish in the microwave.

Convection mode. 200 degrees. 10 minutes.

You're baking goodness :D
