Pirate Map

This pirate map is fun for all ages!

Supplies

  1. 8x11in. paper
  2. hair dryer
  3. tea
  4. warm water
  5. favorite pens, pencils, and markers.

Paper

Get 1 piece of 8x11 paper (printer paper).

Crumple the Paper

Crumple the paper up and slowly unfold it.

Tearing the Paper

(This step is optional)

Carefully tear the edges of the paper to give an old look.

Preparing the Water

(For this step you will need a large container that your paper will fit in.)

Take the large container and fill it up with warm water* this will be for the tea.
*It is very important that you use warm water for the tea to brew.

*Please have adult supervision because the water can burn you.

Tea Time

Take the tea out of its package and soak it in the water for 5-10 minutes.

Place the Paper in the Tea

Remove the tea bags and let the paper soak in the water for 30+ minutes. The longer you leave it in there the darker it will be.

Dry the Paper

Once it reaches your desired color, remove it from the water and use a blow dryer to dry the paper.

Drawing the Map

Once it is completely dry, you can draw whatever type of pirate map you want!!!
