Cut

IMG_2786.JPG

Carefully cut across each sheet of paper, so that there are four "strips" of small story pages.

Be sure to leave the extra white space on the ends, as shown.

Fold Down the Edges of Each Strip

IMG_2787.JPG

Fold down the extra white portion at the end of each strip, as shown.

Put the Strips in Order: #1-#2

The PDF has the strips in the correct order. Use this picture to help you with the first eight pages.

Here is the order for pages nine to sixteen.

Glue Strips Together

Fold back each edge, and glue the strips together as shown.

Trim Off the Two Ends

IMG_2789.JPG

There will be extra "white space" on each end. Trim it off.

Fold Into an "Accordion Book"

IMG_2791.JPG

Using the picture to guide you, fold the book "accordion style." It might be helpful to think of the long strip as a series of "Letter M's," with the printed side of the paper on the top of the M's!

Glue Down the "inside Edges"

IMG_2793.JPG

Once the accordion folds have been made, the "inner edges" will stick out. Fold down these edges and glue them down.

Notes About Pinka

pinka.png

Pinka started making regular appearances when my first grand daughter was two. I had purchased a set of little owl figurines and painted one of them hot pink. My grand daughter named that little owl Pinka.

We soon started making up stories about Pinka. Other owls joined in the fun, and for several years we added a large number of scenes and props. The little shop shown here was purchased at Target in 2019.
