Pineapple flowers are a cute cupcake or cake topper and are super easy to make!

You'll need:

-Pineapple

-Sharp knife or mandolin

-Teaspoon or other small tool to scoop

-Cupcake tin

-Baking sheet

Preheat oven to 220 F.

Trim the Outside and Remove Any Blemishes

You don't want any spots on the pineapple. Don't worry if it's uneven-- that will help with the flower shape!

Make Indentations

Take the teaspoon and make some scoops all over the pineapple. This will give the pineapple slices more of a flower look.

Thinly Slice the Pineapple

Thinly slice the pineapple and place on a baking sheet.

Bake Pineapple for One Hour at 220 F

Bake the pineapples for about an hour, depending on how thick you sliced them. Flip the pineapple slices halfway through to make sure they lose their moisture. If you don't, the bottoms will still be soggy and they won't take the shape of a flower as well.

Bake Again in Cupcake Tin for One Hour at 170 F

Place the pineapple slices in the cupcakes tins and return to the 170 F oven for one hour. Again, depending on how thick you sliced the pineapples, it may be more or less time.

Enjoy!
