In this instructable i am going to show you how you can easily pimp up your boring (old) t-shirt.

All you need is:

  • hot glue gun (and glue)
  • fabric paint
  • a rolling pin
  • a brush
  • And ofcourse an old T-shirt

Gather Your Materials

Find yourself an old t-shirt that you don't wear anymore! Of course you can get a new one but using an old one is better and more economical.

The same applies to the rolling pin. I still had one laying around that I once used to press something and spread glue, so I couldn't use it anymore for cooking

Design Your Pattern

Use the hot glue on the rolling pin, be creative, any pattern will do. Make sure that every line you apply is the same thickness for the best result. Here I didn't do that. I used horizontal lines but vertical or diagonal is also posible

The Paint

Then use a brush to apply the paint on the rolling pin. Spread the paint out.You don't want any big clumps of paint on the rolling pin because this will result in clumps of paint on the t-shirt.

Decide where you want the pattern, and make sure your aim is right. You've got only one chance people! Place the rolling pin on the t-shirt and roll in one go, away from you.

Let It Dry and Show of Your Original Self Made T-shirt

Next, let the paint dry on both the t-shirt and the rolling pin, because afterwards you can peel off the glue and make yourself some other pattern for another t-shirt.
