(Pi)e a La Dali - the Persistence of Pi

Deliciously easy apple pie, blanketed in rich caramel sauce and decorated as one of Dali's signature "melting clocks."
If time is flexible, it's always time for some pie!
Ingredients:
4 apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
6 Tbsp. unsalted butter
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. water
1 15oz. packaged pie crust

Assemble Pie

Place one layer of crust into pie dish. Scoop apples onto the crust.
Decorate Pie

To make face of clock, cut numbers 1-12 out of crust. Then cut two strips of crust for hands of clock (one short and one long).
Arrange numbers and clock hands on top of apples. The "time" should be 3:14
