Pickup Organizer

I consider my pickup bed my large glove box. There is nothing worse than putting something in the back of your pickup and the first stop it slides to the front or on a turn it flies across the bed. Especially can of gas or BBQ LP tank.

Most know that if you cut a 2x6 the right length it fits in the slots in the bed, this helps but I have a better way. If you cut a small notch in the corner as shown, then a 2"x 10" board will fit. Now there is room to drill holes and make tie down points. 1" about every 10" or what ever suits you.

Tie downs can be strap through the holes and around the item or short rope with ends tied in a knot to hook a bungee cord or just loop the bungee cord through the hole and hook on the back side. The loop shown is rope looped through a washer and hot glued. PS. this also works for the bed of a Polaris RZR.

Anyway everything stays nice and secure. Haven't figured out bowling balls yet.
