Photography
Hi my name is Frank and how I practise art is through photography. I have a backyard full of nature, interesting plants and trees, that I can photograph. All of these pictures in this Instructable is from my backyard.
Supplies
You will need:
- A camera or a personal device ie an iPad and the camera app
- Somewhere filled with nature, or whatever you like to photograph
- An editor app. I used Colour Pop Effects Photo Editor
- If you wish to develop or upload your photos, you can go to a Photo lab, upload them to websites, such as Unsplash or simply save to your desk top.
Finding Space
Firstly, you need a space to take an interesting photo. You can take photographs of anything you like, from nature to your favourite foods. All you need is yourself, a good camera and an object or objects to take pictures of. Lighting is also important to the types of photographs you want to take.
SNAP! Capturing the Photograph
Once you've decided what you would like to take a picture of, get your device or camera ready. Make sure you are using HD or 4K on your camera, for the best resolution. If you have effects you can add a background blur, or even make your photo black and white, while taking the picture.
Putting Your Photograph Through an Editor
After you've taken your photographs and you are happy with them, you may want to edit the photos. You can edit them using your camera or phone, like I did with the photograph of the windmill, or even download an app if able. I used Colour Pop Effects Photo Editor for the photographs of the berries, rosemary and fruit tree. What's cool about these apps, is that you can edit your photos, by singling out colours in black and white photos, adding special effects and even increasing your image's quality making it more appealing to the eye.
Final Step: Uploading, Developing or Doing Whatever YOU Want With Your Pictures
Once you've finished editing your pictures or adding your finishing touch, you can do anything with these photos!! Some things you can do is developing your photos at a Photo lab, and hang your photos up around your home or workspace, putting them in albums, or giving them to someone as a gift. You can even upload them to photography website, such as Unsplash where other people have access to use them. Please make sure you read the guidelines before uploading your photo.
