Photo Booth
I was at a bar where they had a legit photo booth you would see at a mall. It got a little crazy in there and got me thinking about making one for a party we had coming up. It was easy to make and setup. Needless to say it was the hit of the party with over 400 pics and close to that in compliments, not really that close.

Setting Up the Camera
- Its pretty simple to setup. Figure out what you are going to put the camera and monitor/tv on. I would recommend using a mini tripod because its makes it easy to change the angle of the camera. Have the camera around the same height as your seating.
- Connect the chord from your camera to your TV/monitor and make sure it is a "live" view on the monitor when you are in picture taking mode.
- Create an instruction printout on how to use your camera. I found the image of the back of my camera on google as well as stickers on the camera for the timer. Worked out well.
Things to consider
- Set the timer to at least 10 seconds so people can get themselves and the shot setup.
- Have the power chord close. The camera will be running full time for a few hours so its bound to run out of power.
- Make sure you have enough camera space or lower the picture quality for more pics. We took about 400 pictures and had to start deleting some.

Setting Up the Booth
- I had some white sheets and wanted to make a funky background. I got a Tie Dye kit and it was easier than i thought. It takes about 8 hours for the dye to set in so do this a few days before. Next time we are thinking about using a green sheet to add the backgrounds in later.
- I had some extra PVC for the poles. I cut holes on the "top sheet" where its folded over and slid the PVC thru. For the fitted sheet I cut the elastic on 3 sides and the one elastic side held on the whole night. You could use just one sheet for the background but having it setup as a room definitely produced some spicy pics.
- I used some hanging plant hooks (they leave smaller holes) and used pliers to open the hook up so the PVC could fit it.
- I had a little bench that worked great but a few chairs would do. We had 7-8 people in at times so make sure there is enough room.

At the beginning of the party I definitely did a little promoting of my new creation but as the party progressed, the liquor started flowing, I had to put some time limits on people. Have fun with it and make it your own.
