this design should support most phones, but if you have a very large or very small phone, you will have to adjust the design. I am calling this bit that holds the phone, the “hand”

this is a paper prototype with the measurements i wanted. I made it out of paper first to make sure that it would fit my phone.

after carving it out of the plastic, this is what it looks like on my phone

Add Pipe Cleaners

fold one end of the pipe cleaner, and add a big glob of hot glue. Wait for it to dry, and thread it through the holes. Repeat until you have 4 pipe cleaners.

Fit to Your Phone

You can now adjust to fit your phone size. When you have the desired size, fold the pipe cleaner over and your phone will stay put.

the supports will be made out of wood, 2x4s specifically. You will need 5 decent sized 2x4s. Cut them out to the desired length and cut the specific angles. You will cut 2 base legs, 2 vertical legs, and 1 top beam.

Cut Out the Wood

Attach the Hand to the Top Beam

drive a screw through the center of the hand, and through the center of the bottom of the top beam. Use just one screws so that it can revolve.

Make Sure Everything Is Tightened Down
