Phantom A10 Error Code 07 Repair

Our scooter had error code 07 after a minor crash. The wire running from the brake handle to the main board was partially cut.
Supplies
- Soldering supplies
- Screw drivers
- Hex keys
- Side cutters/dykes

- Remove the brake cable from the lever
- Remove the screws holding the handlebar assembly to the steering tube
- Unplug the connector
- Remove handgrip from brake side

- Remove the cover from the brake sensor
- Inspect the wires to see where they are broken
- Cut the remaining wires at the same spot where the other wires are broken
- Remove the plastic spacer tube that covers the wires

- Use side cutters or dykes to cut a slot in the plastic spacer tube that covers the wires, this will make the repair much easier. My slot is sloppy because I started with a dremel.
- Strip the ends of the wires a few millimeters, this splice needs to preserve as much wire length as possible
- Solder the wires together, use heatshrink or hot melt glue to insulate

- Connect the steering tube connector and test
- If it works put everything back together
- If you get a different error code after reassembly, peel the cover off the screen and reseat all of the connectors, I knocked one loose during the process. The screen cover comes off easily.
- Cover the slot with electric tape to make it look better
