I use a A4 Clipboard every day in my work as an engineer ...
So i always wanted to have my personal one, and one day, i decided to make it just the way i wanted!
I used some cardboard, leather, and metal buttons for clothes.
Supplies
Cardboard, Glue, Leather, Cork Sheet
Find an Image You Like and Copy It to Your Cardboard

So, the first difficult step was to find the kind of images i would like to print on it.
I used some retro images, of the first astronaut suit patent. In order to copy them into the cardboard, i used the following technique:
I printed the image (mirrored) into a tracing paper , i gently put it over my cardboard (it has to be a little wet for better results), and then i applied pressure over the ink lines.
The result was better than I expected, as you can see in the picture.
Glue and Sanding

I wanted my clipboard to be waterproof, so i applied some glue over the cardboard. After it dried i sanded it. I used some wood glue , but you can also use epoxy

When i was done with the glue and sanding, i had to put them all together. I used some leather, and a cork sheet for the inside part of my pad. I also added a paper clip which i took off another pad i had.

For the final details, i made a clasp , and also added some metallic corners to my sheets of cardboard.
The result is really satisfying!!
