Peppermint Toads

I made this creme by accident one day, and it was delicious. Put it in the form of a toad and you've got another sweet straight from Honeyduke's!

Peppermint + White Chocolate + Marshmallow = AWESOME

Materials

To make this delicious creme candy, you will need the following:

1 1/2 cups White chocolate
1/2 cup Marshmallow Creme
1 tblsp Honey
2 tblsp Shortening
Peppermint Flavour
Red Food Colouring
A Frog/Toad-Shaped Candy Mold
Microwave-Safe Bowls
Spoons
A Ziplock Bag

Melt 1/2 cup of white chocolate by placing it in the microwave for about a minute. Scoop the melted chocolate into a ziplock bag, smoosh it down into one corner, and tear off the tip. Using your new makeshift pastry bag, pipe diagonal lines across your frog molds. Place the mold into the freezer to harden the chocolate while you prepare the creme.

Melt the remaining cup of white chocolate and add in food colouring and marshmallow creme. Once combined, add honey and shortening. Finally, add peppermint flavour to taste. Mix thoroughly.

Remove the frog mold from the freezer and begin spooning peppermint creme into them. Pop the treats back into the freezer until set. Remove from the freezer, remove from the molds, and you're all set!

Now that you've got the toads, maybe you'll need somewhere to keep them...
