  1. Epsom Salt
  2. 3 Disposable Cups
  3. Peppermint and/or Wintergreen oil (essential Oils are fine too)
  4. Funnel
  5. Decorative Glass Jar (or regular Canning Jar is okay too :)
  6. Red Food Coloring (I used Icing Coloring but Food Coloring is a lot easier)

Mesure Salt

First of all make sure the salt is not in clumps. So try to mix it up in the bag before you pour it.

Next pour it into the Glass Jar to make sure you are going to have enough Salt.

Pour Half of the Salt from the Jar into one of the Plastic Cups. Pour the other half into a different cup.

Now you should have 2 cups half full with Salt and the Empty Jar (that you can set aside for later)

Pour and Mix Peppermint Oil

Take one of the Cups (filled with Salt) and put a few drops of Peppermint Oil in it.

Put the 3rd cup on top (make sure that you seal it with your Fingers) and shake the salt to get the Peppermint Oil Mixed Throughout all the salt.

Do this with the next Cup as well.

What I did was put Peppermint Oil in the 1st Cup and Wintergreen Oil in the 2nd cup so I got both Smells :)

Add Red Coloring

Take the Cup with the Peppermint Oil in it and ad a few drops of Coloring. Take a Plastic Spoon and Mix the coloring in. Now you have one cup that has Red and one that has White salts.

Note: In the Picture the "red" looks more of an orange but it is more like Pink. If you want it to look RED then add more food Coloring.

Fill the Jars

Take the Jar and pour a little white salt in.

Then add red salt.

Do this until the whole Jar has White and Red Striped Salts in it :)

Then you can add Ribbon or a Label if you are going to give it to someone!

Yay!
