Penne Pasta With Meat Sauce
Pasta with meat sauce or red meat sauce has my name written all over it. There is something so comforting about have a big bowl of warm pasta topped with some fresh parmesan cheese. I've made this for years now and I've always used what ever kind of pasta I've had on hand so you don't have to use penne, use what you have on hand. If you want to make your own Penne Pasta with Meat Sauce, then follow the step by step guide below or watch the video tutorial here:
Ingredients and Tools
Ingredients
- 1 (17.6 oz) package Penne Pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
- Meat Sauce
- Parmesan Cheese (grated)
Tools
- Ladle
- Cuisinart Cast Iron Dutch Oven
- Pyrex Mixing Bowl
- Pyrex Bowl 3 set
- Misc. kitchen utensils
Boil Water
Start off by bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a generous pinch of salt to the boiling water and add in your pasta. Cook according to package instructions.
Simmer Meat Sauce
Heat up your meat sauce until it is at a simmer. I am using my own recipe but if you have store bought sauce or your own meat sauce, use that instead.
Add Penne Pasta to Meat Sauce
Once your pasta is al dente, drain and add to red sauce. Stir until everything is combined.
Cover and Wait
Turn off heat and add a lid to your pot and allow pasta to rest for 5 minutes. This will help the pasta absorb all the flavor from the meat sauce and any extra liquid.
Plate and Grate Parmesan Cheese
Plate paste after 5 minutes and grate parmesan cheese on top. Use the best quality Parmesan cheese you can buy, it makes a huge difference in the flavor.
Enjoy!
All that is left to do is to devour your plate of pasta, enjoy!
