Pen holder made from left over fabrics and old rubber placemat.

Supplies

Rubber sheet (from old placemat)

Fabric

Lining

Scissors

Measuring tape

Sewing tools (sewing machine)

Cut Fabric and Rubber Sheet

Trace outer circle to 2 sheets of fabric and cut.

Trace inner circle to rubber sheet and cut.

Measure and cut a 32.5cm x 20 cm rectangle on one fabric and lining.

Measure and cut a 28.5cm x 15.5cm rectangle on rubber sheet.

Sew Fabric Circles

With right sides facing, place the two fabric circles together and sew around the circumference, leaving an opening of about 3 cm.

Stuff Rubber Circle in

Turn sewn fabric circle inside out. Stuff rubber circle in sewn fabric and set aside.

Sew Fabric Rectangle and Lining

With right sides facing, sew fabric rectangle and lining together, leaving one side open. Turn sewn rectangle inside out. You can iron the sides to smoothen them. Stuff rubber rectangle inside.

Sew Rectangle Into a Cylinder

Fold in edges of rectangle. Sew short sides of rectangle together to form a hollow cylinder. Sew the circular base to one end of the cylinder. Turn pen holder inside out.
