Pecan Bars | Easy Sweet Treat

Hey y'all,

In this instructable I'll show you how to make a delicious sweet treat, pecan bars. It's similar to pecan pie but with a twist and a bit of a different preparation process. Follow the step by step guide or watch the video here:

• 2 C All-purpose Flour
  
• ½ C Powder Sugar
  
• ½ t salt ¾ C Butter (softened to room temp)
  
• ½ C packed Brown Sugar
  
• ½ C Honey
  
• 2/3 C Butter
  
• 3 T Heavy Whipping Cream
  
• 3 ½ C chopped Pecans

In a middle size bowl add in your flour, powdered sugar and ¼ t salt and whisk together.

Add in your ¾ C of soften butter and cut it into your flour and powdered sugar mixture until it looks like coarse meal.

Add this mixture to a lightly greased 13x9 baking dish and pat it evenly on the bottom and about halfway up the sides. Bake it at 350 for about 20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

Chop pecans finely and add to a bowl for later use.

In a sauce pan, add in your brown sugar, honey, 2/3 C of butter and whipping cream and bring to a boil over medium heat. Keep stirring until everything is well incorporated and there is a liquid consistency throughout.

Remember your chopped pecans that you placed in a bowl earlier? Well bring them out, turn off the heat on your stovetop and add in your chopped pecans and stir the mixture until everything is incorporated.

Pour you hot mixture over your crust and bake at 350 for about 25-30 mins or until golden and bubbly.

Allow everything to cool completely, cut into bars and serve!
