Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

The perfect dessert for peanut butter and chocolate lovers alike!

Supplies

Non-stick cooking spray
9x13 inch pan
Small pot
Large pot
2 stirring utensils

Ingredients:

6 cups toasted rice cereal
½ cup peanut butter
8 oz of chocolate
¼ cup milk
¼ cup unsalted butter
10 oz mini marshmallows

Prep

Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick spray.

Combine

Over medium heat, combine the butter, mini marshmallows and peanut butter in a large pot, stirring until all ingredients are melted.

Stir

Once the ingredients are melted and combined, remove the pot from heat and stir in the toasted rice cereal.

Lightly spray your hands with non-stick spray and press the mixture evenly into the pan.

Melt

Over low heat, melt the chocolate in a small pot. Add in the milk and stir until smooth.

Pour

Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the bars and let harden at room temperature. Allow one hour to harden (this can be adjusted depending on how thick you pour the chocolate).

Cut and Serve

Cut into squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
