Embroidery Hoop Mobile

Needlework not your thing? Repurpose your old embroidery hoops with this breezy project that will
look great in your loved one’s room.

You Will Need:

supplies.jpg
one embroidery hoop

fringe to cover the outer hoop

three 60 in. strands of ribbon

your pick of colored felt

hot glue!

Separate Hoops...

and remove any stickers. Starting at the metal fastener, hot glue fringe along the perimeter of the hoop and let dry.

Fold Ribbons in Half...

lengthwise and tie a knot two inches down from the fold. This will be the loop that you hang your mobile from.

Arrange the Ribbons...

in the center of the inner hoop and hot glue the strands along the outside perimeter.  Don’t worry about positioning the ribbons perfectly--the hearts will determine how the mobile hangs.

Tighten the Outer and Inner Hoops Together...

to secure. Using the felt, cut out a variety of hearts. Be creative with the sizes and pattern choices!

Use a dab of hot glue to adhere double-sided hearts to the ribbons. Hold or hang the mobile by the loop when gluing the hearts to ensure that your mobile hangs evenly.
