Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Twisted Muffins
So simple but so good - these peanut butter chocolate chip twisted muffins are really easy to make.
Prep Time 10 minutes Baking Time 20 minutes Makes 12 muffins
Ingredients:
- 2 - Premade Pizza Dough Recipes (store-bought or make your own with the recipe in Step 1)
- 1 cup/128g - Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 cup/128g - Milk Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup/64g - Unsalted Peanuts, chopped
- 1 tbsp - Clear Sparkling Sugar
- Cooking Spray
Supplies
- Muffin Tin
- Cutting Board
- Knife
- Pizza Cutter
Prepare the Dough
Preheat Oven to 400degF/204degC.
Spray Muffin Tin wells with cooking spray.
Prepare all of your ingredients.
Layout one uncooked pizza dough (should be rectangular) on the cutting board.
If you prefer to make your dough yourself, here is a simple pizza dough recipe:
Homemade Pizza Dough (this makes one)
Ingredients
- 4 cups/512g Flour
- 1 tbsp Yeast instant
- ⅓ cup/113g Avocado Oil
- 1½ cup/18oz Warm Water
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Avocado Oil for a bowl
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Pour in the water while stirring. Then add olive oil and continue to mix by hand. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
2. Brush the insides of a second bowl with avocado oil and transfer a ball of dough. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let rise for at least 1 hour. The dough should be approximately double in size.
3. Once risen, place dough on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Stretch and press it out until you cover the baking sheet with ¼ inch thick crust.
Start Layering Up
Spread dough with peanut butter. Then sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped peanuts. Place second uncooked pizza dough on top and press down slightly to seal it up some.
Cut and Twist
Using a pizza cutter, cut into 12 equal strips. Twist one strip into each of the muffin tin wells, making sure to fill the space (don't leave a hole in the center). Place in oven for 20 minutes.
Cool and Enjoy!
Remove from oven and sprinkle with clear sparkling sugar. Then let cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then remove muffins from the tin and let cool on a cooling rack. S
