Peanut Butter, Banana and Carrot Pupscicles

Create nutritious, frozen treats for your pups to enjoy on hot days!
Gather Your Ingredients and Tools

Gather your ingredients and tools ahead of time to make things easier! Here's what you'll need:
Tools:
- ice cube tray
- cutting board
- knife
- measuring cup
- grater
- blender
Ingredients:
- peanut butter (1/2 cup)
- bananas (1)
- carrots (1)
- yogurt (1 cup, nonfat/lowfat, plain)
Wash Up

Wash your carrot really well, and peel.
Grate

Completely grate your carrot. I use the "large holed" side to keep the grated carrot larger and give the frozen treats some texture.
Add Wet Ingredients

Add all of your "wet" ingredients to the blender.
- 1 banana (chunked)
- 1 cup plain nonfat/lowfat yogurt
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
Blend!

Blend banana, yogurt and peanut butter until consistency is smooth and pourable.
Add Texture

Add grated carrot to the wet mixture.
Stir

Stir wet mix and carrots together. I like to use a spoon for this rather than the blender, to keep the carrot gratings more intact.
Pour & Freeze

This part is messy because the mixture is chunky, so pour or spoon into your ice cube tray carefully. Pop into your freezer overnight. This mixture will freeze nice and solid, and with a few good twists the cubes will pop right out of the tray.
Snacktime!

Once the pupscicles are frozen, it's time for snacking! Pop a couple out of the tray and let your four-footed friends have a go. I highly recommend placing the treats in bowls for indoor snacking, since they tend to get a little messy.
Enjoy!
