Combine Peanut Butter and Melted Butter
First let's combine our peanut butter and melted butter in a bowl, you can just use a spoon to mix them together.
Peanut Butter Play Dough
Now let's combine our powdered sugar about a third at a time mixing in between, until it gets thick, then knead it with your hands until the consistency resembles play dough. It shouldn't be sticky when you touch it. You will probably wind up using only about 1.5 to 1.75 cups of the powdered sugar, so don't throw it all in at once.
Melt Chocolate/candy Melts
Now we melt our chocolate candy bars, chocolate chips, or candy melts. I am going to do it in the microwave, on high with bursts of 30 seconds and then stirring in between. Or you could use a double boiler.
Roll, Dip, Place
Now we shape our peanut butter mixture into little balls. I make them about an inch in diameter. Just grab a chunk and roll it around in between your hands. Then drop or place it in your chocolate, then using a fork, spoon, etc. take it out and place on a parchment paper or silicone line baking sheet.
Optional Step - Decorating
Now you can also decorate these by dropping chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, etc. on top of them. After which you place the whole thing in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes so the chocolate can set up. Another nice touch is to add some melted white chocolate drizzled across the tops of a few of them. Just place the white chocolate in a plastic bag, then microwave on high, for 30 seconds, etc. until it is melted. Snip off the corner with scissors and you have a little piping bag ready to drizzle that yummy chocolate. Then place them back in the fridge for the white chocolate to set up. Easy as that! Now enjoy them!
