Peach Simple Syrup

This is an very easy variation to classic simple syrup. It's useful in many different recipes or beverages.

Ingredients

2 cups sugar

1 cup water

1 peach, sliced (you can use frozen or canned peaches)

Make It

Bring water and sugar to a boil.

Add peaches and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Reduce to simmer and cover and cook down for 30 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Strain peaches from syrup. (don't discard, these are edible and DELICIOUS!)

Use It.

Bottle and enjoy in your favorite recipes. I used some of mine to make delicious peach iced tea. However, this could easily be used in mixing an adult beverage, on top of ice cream, as an additive to a cooking recipe. Try it in a few things!

This stuff will keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks, if it lasts that long.
