Pavlova Recipe
Pavlov is a simple to make desert and it doesn’t require
expensive ingredients but it looks gorgeous and beautiful to put in front of your guests. The meringue base is marshmallow-e and so addictive. The whipped cream on top is the perfect combination.
Ingredients:
Egg Whites – 4
Fine Sugar – 200g
Double Cream – 300ml
Fine Sugar – 2 Tea Spoons (For Cream)
Vinegar – 1 Tea Spoon
Corn Starch – 1/2 Table Spoon
Vanilla – ½ Tea Spoon
Strawberries or any Fruit of your choice
Step 1
Place parchment paper in baking tray. Using something round, make a circle shape.
Step 2
Place egg white in stand mixer and beat at medium speed.
When egg whites gets foamy, start adding icing sugar. Put couple of table spoons, let it dissolve and then add the next batch.
After adding about half the sugar, turn the speed to high as the mixture gets dense.
When egg whites become shinny, add Vanilla (try to use a good quality, that makes a great difference)
Step 3
Turn off the mixer and pour vinegar and sift cornstarch and fold gently with a spatula. Try not to deflate much.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into the circle you drew before and with a spatula, give it a round shape.
Step 5
Put the tray in pre-heated () oven for 1 hour to 1 hour
& 15 minutes depending on your oven.
Once the Pavlova is done, let it cool down inside the oven with the door slightly opened.
Step 6
Add double cream in mixer and beat it with couple of table spoons of fine sugar. Do not overebeat.
Chop up some fresh strawberries or any fruit of your choice.
Step 7
Transfer the cooled down meringue base to your baking dish.
Dollop cream on top of your base, apply all over.
Add some strawberries on top. I made some berry sauce just by blending some mixed berries and poured that on top.
