Hey momoluvers it's Momo and today I'll be showing you how to make this really cool phone case that I love because it's very hodgepodge and cute. This versatile case can act as a wallet or phone case and is great for toting around the mall (insert sassy emoji here). I hope you guys enjoy making this as much as I did!

Supplies

1. Fabric Scissors

2. Ironing board and iron

3. Sewing machine

4. At least 5 differently patterned scrap fabrics

Preparing the Fabrics

I dove into my large box of many fabrics and pulled out 15 of my favorite fabrics to use of the case. You will also need a large sheet of fabric to line the interior, I am using a creme linen fabric.

Iron all of your sheets to get the kinks and bends out.

Cut a template from some paper that is about 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches.

Hold the template against each sheet of fabric and cut two of each pattern out.

You can line up the fabrics to see which order you want to put them in so that you don't accidentally have two of the same color next to each other.

**You will need a total of 30 squares, 15 for the front, 15 for the back.

Sewing Squares

Put the face of two pieces of fabric together and sew a very thin line along one of the edges. You can go backwards to seal the edge off well.

Once you've sewn three squares together, set the row aside and sew the rest in a uniform fashion. Try to make the middle square proportions even with the rest of the middle squares.

You should end with 5 rows of three.

Ironing

To make the rows lay flat, iron the seam open.

To do this, simply open the seam, separating the two fabrics and press down with the iron.

Piece It All Together

Take two of the rows and sew a clean, straight line along the side, very close to the edge.

Iron the seam open after each added row.

Add rows as you go along. Take your time to make sure the lines are clean and even.

Repeat the whole process with the other 15 squares so that you have 2 identical patchwork sheets.

Final Assembly

Put the two sheets of patchwork onto the interior fabric and cut it down to size.

Sew along the top edge, attaching the patchwork to the interior fabric.

Fold the patchwork over the interior fabric and sew a pocket on if you would like.

After folding the patchwork over the interior fabric so that the pattern is facing outwards, fold it in half, so that the patchwork is on the inside.

Sew along all three of the remaining edges, not including the edge you sewed before.

Inside Out

Fold the finished case inside out and push the corners out as much as you can.

Put your phone inside to make sure it fits snugly.

Finished!
