- Embroidery string - matching colors

Add Water to Dyes
Add water to each of the dye bottles, replace caps and shake to mix.
Pour Dye Colors Into Cups
Once dyes are mixed, pour each color into its own disposable cup.
Dampen Socks
If socks are new, wash them before dyeing (without fabric softener). Either way, be sure your socks are damp before dyeing.
Dip Socks Into Dyes
Squish socks and place one into each dye color. If you want, use a rubber band to bind the crumpled sock before placing in the dye, for added effects. Let the socks sit in the dye for a while to soak up the dye.
Wring Out Dye From Socks
Once the socks have soaked and had a chance to absorb the dye, wearing gloves, wring out the socks and place on a plastic-covered surface.
Let Dye Set
Cover socks with plastic and let set overnight.
Fill Socks With Polyfil
Once the dye has set, rinse thoroughly and wash and dry according to dye instructions. Stuff each sock with Polyfil.
Tie Strings Around Sock to Create Bunny
Tie a strand of string tightly around the halfway point of each sock to create the body and the head. Tie another just above the "head" to create the section for ears.
Cut Tops to Create "ears"
Cut top portion of socks in a V shape to create ears.
Add Face and Whiskers
Use white dimensional puff paint to create a face and whiskers on each sock bunny.
Let Paint Dry
Let bunny socks dry flat until paint has completely dried. Your kiddos will be hopping with joy at this adorable creative project! And, for more easy kids’ crafts check out these fun ideas.
