Paracord Beer Bottle Lanyard

While thinking about going camping this year and the things that I'm going to need this year I came up with this little gem.
It's awesome you never have to put down your beer again , or better yet you can carry your spare beer around your neck for later!

Step 1

First thing's first we need to find out the length of paracord you'd like to use for around your neck. I went with around 2' 1/2'' feet just because that's what looked perfect for me but you may want to change it up a little.

Then with that length of paracord your going to want a very secure knot tied into the end like shown here in picture. ( I just did a simple over hand knot it does the trick )

Then if you want you can melt the ends of this length now or later, I'll wait till later for this part!

Step 2

After that's all done grab yourself a short piece of paracord, I used one of the cut-offs from a previous project.
Mine's about 1' 1/2'' ft long which should be about perfect for the cobra weave.
Before weaving the cobra weave around the first length of rope make sure to melt the ends of this piece now, it just makes it easier at the end.

Step 3

This is where we start the cobra weave it's very simple to master once you got it.
I'm not the best for describing how to do this so here are the steps in picture's (hope it helps)
Make sure to make the weave very tight but not to tight that you can't slide it up and down your paracord lanyard.

Then when your done doing the cobra weave till you have no more cord left of the short piece that's been weaved onto the long one, you need to slide the weave down near the end like shown and find your favorite beer for your new lanyard and enjoy!!

Remember to push the weave up tight to the bottle or you'll be wasting beer and that's not cool! ;p
