Parachute Launcher

Hi I am 6 years old and go to Classical Conversations in Farmington. I made a spring launcher. I wanted to launch an object up in the air and then have a parachute come out. But I did not get to the parachute part :(. My project launches a small 3d object about 4 feet in the air.

Spring: We bought a pack of springs from Home Depot. The size we used was 13/32 inch x 2-3/4 inch x .047 inch spring

Download and added a name to the file (my Dad helped me) and print the STL Files. Slice in your favorite slicer (I use Prusa Slicer). Settings were .3mm quality with 20% infill. 2hr print. No supports necessary.

This is the hardest part of my project. My Dad had to help me take off and separate the handle for the latch. We did this by bending the latch with a hammer.

Put spring in launcher tube. Put bolt in launcher tube and insert bolt handle. Load launcher by pulling down the handle and locking into position. Insert 3d printed object.

Launch by pushing bolt handle to the side.
