Paper Yo-Yo

This is a paper yo-yo. I bought one from a store a while ago, but I broke. So I decided to make a new one. Here’s how I did it.

Supplies

- 3 or more pieces of A4 paper

- Scissors

- 1 Straw

- Tape

The Paper Part

Fold the A4 paper the long way into thirds. Cut along those lines so you have three strips of paper. Then do that for the rest of your paper. Use the tape to tape all the small sides together so you have an extremely long strip of paper.

The Straw Part

Tape a small side of the extremely long strip of paper to the end of your straw.

Roll the extremely long strip of paper around the straw. Use a little bit of tape to keep it in place. Make sure you will be able to take the tape of later. Leave it rolled up for about 12 hours, then take the tape off.

When the yo-yo is done, to play with it, you hold the straw and flick it out so that the paper shoots forward, then bring it back.
