Here I am after a long break of nearly three months or more due to lack of time,Still on and off I have been checking on instructables unfortunately I missed out a lot of great contest which I could not take part.

Christmas is around the corner. It is high time to make star ornaments for decoration. These beautiful paper star ornaments can be placed anywhere ,specially to hang them on the christmas tree, table deco or even glue it on to a presant. All you need is colorful craft papers.I have made two ornaments with plain colored papers.Striped, decorated papers will look really awesome.

Grab your craft papers and start right away...

Using the lid draw the circles and cut out about 10-14 of them.

Fold and Cut

The diameter of a circle is almost 3 inches.

Fold it in half, and then again twice more into half. Each time you fold crease the edges.

When you open it out,you get 8 segments.keep a small coin in the middle and draw the outline.I have used a 2 € cent for this diameter.

Cut along the black lines upto the drawn circle.

Make Little Paper Cones

Take a sharp pointed pencil keep it in the middle in one of the segment,in one corner apply a little bit glue, slowly roll the paper onto the pencil from one side to the otherside making a sharp point and glue it.Please refer pictures as you will understand easily.

I have used 10 stars to make one ornament, this is more than enough for a nice size.If you want you can add up a few more stars,

Attaching Sequin to the 1st Stars

Use a hard string which you can pass it through the needle.I have used crochte thread which is too thin,so it is doubled.Thread a sequin ( a bead is also fine)on to the middle of the thread ,fold the thread into two and pass both ends through the needle.Image 1.

On the first star pass the needle from the middle of the right side pulling it out from the wrong side. The Sequin will be at the bottom of the right side.

Assemble Stars

7 (600x800).jpg
8 (600x800).jpg
11 (600x800).jpg
12 (600x800).jpg

The first star is upside down .Over it keep assembling the rest of the 10 stars pricking in the middle from the wrong side and coming out from the right side.Once completed last of all thread in a sequin on to the middle.

Now seperate the two strings and slowley, very carefully pull the two strings very firmly until all the star points get together,do a simple knot twice which will keep them together.

This idea was in my mind, but did not have the time to do this decoration.Today I did another too stars and have uploaded the pictures with these options.

OPTIONS

1) You can spray paint the cone ends before assembling the star. (White images)

2) Spray paint the stars a little bit here and there.

3)Paste little beads over the pointed cone or decorate with fabric paints. When you do this the tiny little hole at the end will get covered.

Admire!
