Paper Sheet Holder Made With Cardboard

paper-sheet-holder.jpg

Hello there,

In this instructable i will show, how to make a very easy paper Sheet holder. It is used to keep any kind of rolled sheets, A4 papers, color papers, medium size rolls or even chart papers.

Because in our home we keep all the papers and sheets here and there and it makes our home really messy. So, it is very much needed to make a systematic way where we can put all those things at one place.

You can make the holder of any size that you need or multiple sizes for various sizes of paper, so that you can easily find what you need.

It is mainly made with Cardborad, designed and decorated with color paper and fixed to a Thermocol base with glue.

So, lets see the making now. For this you'll need the following supplies :

Supplies

1. Cardboard

2. Thermocol

3. White paper

4. Color paper

5. Aluminium wire

Tools & Materials :

1. Scissors

2. Pen cutter

3. Fevicol glue

Making the Base Plate

This project is made at free of cost. As every material i used is freely available at any home. Take a cardboard box and break it into pieces.

The base plate will be made with a piece of cardboard sheet and a thermocol piece will be added to the center, for mounting the holder.

Now take a piece of cardboard, mark any design on it and and cut it using a scissor like i did.

The Mounting Plate

Then take a Thermocol piece of about 1 inch in thickness and cut it in circle. Make the diameter of the circle same as the holder size, so that it can easily be tightly fitted on it.

Now add Fevicol glue on one side of the thermocol piece and paste in to the cardboard Base plate and let it dry.

Design the Base

Lastly we will add some color and decoration to the base, hence It's not necessary, but then also it enhances the look.

We will decorate the base with a dark brown color paper. So, i made a hole in the center and made some Art patterns at four corners. Then cut the designs nicely with a Pen cutter.

Then take a white paper and cut in the middle and use it below the color paper so that, the designs we made becomes visible.

Ready the Base Plate

So now, we have made all the necessary parts for the Base. So let's join them together.

Take the white paper that we cut and glue it to the Base plate at first.

Next paste the Color paper having patterns above it, so that our patterns become enlighten.

Then cut the excess paper coming out of the base plate. Now our Base is ready for mounting. Next we make the holder.

Making the Holder

Now its time for making the holder that will be mounted on the base plate. For this we need a long Cardboard piece, then bend it in a cylindrical shape and make the holder.

Here i noticed that the top part of the holder can easily get bend, when it will get pressure on it from the weight of the paper sheets.

For neutralizing this effect i made a metal Ring and place it at the top of the holder with some duct tape. This ring is made with a Aluminium wire and help to redistribute the pressure.

You can use any hard belt type material also. The main motive is not to get bend when sheets will be placed on it.

Decorating the Holder

The naked holder is not looking very good right now, so we also need to decorate it to match the base plate.

Here, in this case we will took a blue color paper and make a design on it (the designs can be any patterns of your choice). And cut the pattern nicely with a Pen cutter.

Then attach a white A4 paper again at the back of the design that we cut using Fevistick, so that the pattern gets easily visible. Now glue the whole color paper and wrap it around the holder.

So, our Holder is also ready now.

Final Step

Now its time for the final step, here we have the Base plate and the Holder. So, now take some Fevicol and glue around the thermocol base plate. Then take the Holder and join it on the base.

Hence, let it dry and our Paper sheet holder is ready for use.

This is an amazing project that i recommend everyone to have it in their home. As it can be easily made and it so cheap or you can say its made free of cost.

It is a fine craft that will enhance the beauty of your room and it helps in organizing your paper sheets as well.
