Kirigami Ninja Star

In this Instructable I will be showing you how to make a classic paper ninja star. It is very simple and is still good to throw.

For this Instructable you will need:

1. Paper (Any, I used regular 8.5x11")
2. Scissors

You need to make the paper into a square, if it isn't already. First, fold the top left corner down to the bottom side. Then, you fold the excess onto the triangle. Unfold the triangle and cut off the extra strip. You have a square!

Fold the square in half. Then, cut it into the two halves.

Fold in half length ways, then fold down. Repeat for both halves.

Unfold the halves, then fold one down and one up. Then fold the other half of them the opposite ways. Flip over. Fold the two small squares down into triangles. Fold the triangles into the middle.

Take the second one, flip it over, and put it on top of the first one. Tuck the flaps of the first one into the second one. Flip over the whole thing, and repeat on other side.

You completed the ninja star, young grasshopper.

If you make a whole bunch of these, you can connect them to make an entire mat!
