Paper Lantern With ATTINY 2313 Flicker Light
I wanted a candle in the wind for my living space decoration. But using a real candle creates a fire hazard. So I made this lantern with the
Supplies
We need some cardstock paper, any attiny chip, battery, charging circuit, switch, an arduino for ISP or any other programmer, tracing papers, glue scissors, cutters
For programing the chip you can use any of the shelf instructable to do so. I used the below one. Program is pretty straight forward. Used random command to make the LEDs flicker. Soldered everything on to a perforated board. Looked little crude but worked just fine. Patched up the battery and the charger with lots of hot glue. Everything was set into the area of about 2 inch by 1.5 inch.

Lantern Body
Lantern body is made of card stock paper. Just measured and cut 4 windows, folded and glued the overlapping flap.
Lantern Base
Base had to be made separately as I wanted something to look like a stand. So made a 1/2 inch high base with same cardstock. Also used the same material for separating both parts. Made a 2inch by 1.5 inch holder on the separator to house the circuit.
Glued some tracing paper on the lamp windows. LEDs were showing through the tracing paper, so added another layer of tracing paper. This is just a sheet rolled and placed inside the lamp.
The first image is with single sheet of tracing paper. Second image is with 2 sheets of tracing paper. Difference is noticeable. Enjoy your new lamp.
