Paper Lamp/Lantern!

This is an easy paper lamp you can make at home. It is a great decoration, especially when centered in light. :D

• Sheet of paper
• Scissors
• Glue

Fold the paper in half from the vertical side as shown in the picture.

Draw a line about one inch from the top of the paper. Then make cuts of any pattern you’d like from the folded side. Cuts should be under the line, and you can draw designs above the line.

Unfold the paper so that the line you just drew is facing upward. Then, apply glue to the right of your design.

Flip over the paper and stick the glued side to the other side of the paper. If done correctly, it should look like the picture with the line being visible.

This step is optional but recommended. Take a strip of paper from one of your scraps and apply glue on both of its sides. Then stick it on both sides of the top of your lamp.

This is the final product. There are a variety of things you can do with this design. You could make it as a paper jack-o-lantern decoration for Halloween, or hang it up on your ceiling instead of holding it. What ideas do you have? :)
