Here are the things you will need for this craft!

  1. Paper (colored, plain, newspaper, book)
  2. Markers (I used black, purple, and orange)
  3. Pencil
  4. Scissors
  5. String/yarn
  6. Tape/thumbtack (to hang it up)

Sketch Out Your Ghost!

Take your pencil and draw a ghost with eyes on your paper. Then, trace it with a black marker.

Color Your Ghost

Color your ghost using your color of choice. Be sure to leave a circle of blank space to cut out a hole!

Cut Out the Holes

This step is tricky! To cut the holes out you will need to do the following:

  1. Fold the circle that you're going to cut out in half
  2. Cut along the line of the circle
  3. Unfold it and you will get a hole!
  4. Repeat the same steps but with the eyes

(Be careful not to cut too much! Only the area you have left for the hole/eye)

Repeat These 3 Steps

Repeat these 3 steps to make more ghosts of whichever colors you would like! I made 10 ghosts which made a garland of about 30 inches.

Put the Ghost on the String

Put your string through the holes that you cut out on all of your ghosts! Once you've got all of them on the string, tape or pin both sides of the string to whatever surface you're going to hang the garland on.

You're Done!
