Paper Fingerboard From an Index Card

In this instructable, I am going to show you how to make a cool little fingerboard (Tech Deck) out of just an index card. This is a fun little toy to make in class or of you just wanna mess around.

Materials

All you really need is an index card, but scissors and tape make the fingerboard a little nicer.

Trifold

Fold the index card lengthwise into three equal sections. You can do this any way you want, but rolling it up and flattening it is the best way that I know.

Cut Excess

Cut off the top to leave the amount that looks about right for fingerboard size. Don't cut it quite as far as you think you need to - leave some extra space.

Wheels

Cut or tear the bottom folded flap as shown, and roll the two flaps into little wheels. If you have tape available, go ahead and tape the wheel part to the "deck" so they are not separate like in the last picture.

If You Don't Have Tape

Here's what you do if you don't have tape. Unfold the trifold and bring out the flap as shown so that you would be able to fold it over the wheels. Cut or tear little flappy near the wheels as seen in the picture, and fold the flap down, with the cut parts sliding around the wheels. Now, the top and bottom will stay together without unfolding.

Finishing Touches

You are pretty much done. Now you can fold up the edges and, if you want, cut the ends so they're round, giving it more of a skateboard look. Thanks for checking on my instructable! Hope you like it!
