Card Base
Cut a piece of colored paper or card stock to 10 inches by 6 1/2 inches.
Fold the paper in half so that it is 5 inches by 6 1/2 inches.
Unfold the paper and lay it with the inside on the table.
The right-hand "panel" is where you will put the picture.

Paper Cutout
Place the paper with the drawing on top of a colored paper.
Cut out the section that corresponds with the color of paper. Cut through both layers just inside the black lines, and try to avoid damaging the other parts of the drawing.
Gently separate the cutout from the rest of the sheet.
Position the line drawing where you want the finished picture to be on the card base.
Glue the colored cutout onto the card base, using the line drawing as a guide.
Repeat this process with every piece.
Refold the card base with the picture on the outside.

Envelope
Place a piece of paper in front of you so that one of the short edges is closest to you.
The edge closest to you will be the bottom, the edge furthest will be the top.
Position the card 1 3/4 inches from the top of the paper and centered between the sides of the paper.
Fold the bottom of the paper up over the card at the bottom edge of the card.
Fold the sides of the paper in at the side edges of the card, but leave a few millimeters on either side.
Unfold the sides of the paper and then fold the top of the paper down at the top edge of the card, again leaving a few millimeters space.
Unfold the entire paper and set the card aside.
Cut out the corners of the paper along the folds, leaving a malformed T.
Fold the corners of the side tabs to make little triangles, then cut the triangles off.
Fold the side tabs in, then put glue on them, leaving about an inch at the top of them unglued.
Fold the bottom tab in, gluing it to the side tabs.
Allow the envelope to dry before putting the card in.
