Paper Cup Ghosts - Wall Hangings

As Halloween is getting closer day by day, you might be thinking on decorating your house. You need not necessarily spend much on buying some ready made decor stuff.

So, in this Instructable, I'll show you a simple way to decorate your house for this Halloween with some scary n cool paper ghosts. This is very easy to make and you''ll find out very soon that it doesn't cost you more than $3.

So let's see how it's done.

For this simple craft, you'll need the following materials, most of which you'll find at your house.

• Paper Cups
• Markers
• Scissors
• Glue
  
• Tissues
  
• Thread

That's all you need. Now let's see how it's done.

First step is to draw the ghost faces on the paper cups. Use some black markers to draw eyes and mouth on the paper cups. Refer the images to see how it's done.

You're the designer here, so you can draw the faces with the shapes of your imagination and bring it to life. After drawing the faces keep the cups aside and let it dry. You can even paint them if you want with some acrylic colors.

To make the ghosts look life like, you need to have some paper strips which will be waving with the wind.
For these, we'll be using tissue papers. First open up the tissue paper and fold it into half.

Now fold it again as shown in the picture.

Next, cut out parallel strips from this and you'll end up with some long strips of paper when you lay them out.

Now you have both parts to make the ghosts ready and it's time to put them together.

Apply some glue on the inside edge of the rim of the paper cups. Paste the paper strips one after the other along the path of the glue.

Set it to dry, and you should have something that looks like a spooky ghost.

Now all that your ghost needs to do is fly. For this, make a small hole on the top of the paper cup. Use a tooth pick for this job.

Now take a small piece of a tooth pick or any stick and wind some thin thread on it. Push it into the hole so that it gets stuck inside. You're all done now. All you have to do is to hang these ghosts from the ceiling by the free end of the thread.
