Paper Bag Lantern

This is not only a very fun craft to make, but there is also an amazing finished product! With Valentine's day coming up this is also a very cute decoration. Let me take you step by step through the simple yet fun process of making these adorable lanterns.

The tools needed for this craft are:

Paper bag

Tea Candles

Crayon(s)

Scissors

Lighter

To begin take your paper bag and fold it in half.Then take a crayon and draw half a heart.

Cut along the crayon mark and then unfold your work. This way you with have one heart shape on each side of the bag.

Now take some crayons (or markers) and create any kind of doodle you want on the side of your bag! If you want to, you can also take the heart cutouts that you made to create the hole and doodle on them as well for extra decorations!

Now place a candle in the bottom of the bag and use a lighter to light it.

My apologize that most of the pictures with the finished project don't look very good. These are made to be used at night when it's dark and then the candle shows very vibrantly through the paper bag.

Note: Be very careful since the paper bag is very flammable! If you are concerned by this fact you could also use a battery powered candle as a safer option.
