Paper Astronaut Helmet
The “I want to be …” activity will be held next week.
My kid keeps talking about space and outside the world…She wanted to be an astronaut 🧑🚀
.
I planned to create an astronaut helmet on paper. Starting with a cylinder shape, gluing them up, and folding them extra. The result was quite interesting and the kid got a lot of attention. Hope you guys like it
Supplies
- Scissors.
- cutter.
- adhesive tape.
- Corrugated paper
- Gray-white paper
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Bottle cap
- Hot-melt adhesive
Cylinder Part
All you need to prepare is just 1 long piece of paper. I used corrugated cardboard (the soft one) that’s flexible. Cutting brim about 15 lines, these will be glued parts. Gluing upper parts together
Helmet Part
I prepared about 6 long papers to create this helmet part. First of all, We need to stick each side together with hot glue (Don’t forget the outcome, think about an armadillo; 😊 stacking up is preferable) then form a curved shape
Connection Part
Preparing long paper then does the same process as the cylinder part, but instead of folding in, you need to fold the brim part out. Connect two parts together (Cylinder part & Connection part)
Decorations (antennas & Headset)
Last but not least, we need a headset part to cover up each side of the helmet. Cut cardboard in a round shape, then glue a bottle cap on it. Also, with antennas.
That’s all for the paper astronaut helmet
Hope you enjoy it ❤️
