If you are reading this I am going to teach you how to make a Paper Airplane Shooter. The materials you will need for this project is....

Materials:

  1. 13 inch length, 3 1/2 inch, 1 1/2 inch in depth, block of wood.
  2. Ruler
  3. 2 thumb tacks
  4. Rubber band
  5. Something to cut through, your block of wood
  6. Piece of paper

Cutting the Wood

Take your block of wood and find the very center, which should be 3/4 of a inch in depth. Then use your cutting material to cut right down the middle a half inch deep. And make sure that the piece of paper can easily slide in and out of that cut, If not make it wider of a cut.

Making the Slingshot

Once you are done cutting your wood you want to grab your thumb tacks and rubber band. Take your thumb tacks and put one on each side of the cut like the photo above. Then you will need to take your rubber band and break it in half. After that you will need to tie each end in a knot to the thumb tacks, and you will end up having a sling shot.

Picking Out Your Air Plane

This part is mainly a "you" kind of choice, but there are some restrictions. Like the bottom of your air plane needs to at 3/4 of a inch. Reason being you need to be able to grab the bottom of the paper air plane and pull it back. But you can make any air plane you choose to make, I suggest light ones because they glide better. Above are some paper air planes I made. Optional: paper clips hold the planes better together.

Last Is Shooting!!

Paper Air Plane Shooter

Grab one of your awesome air planes by the bottom and put the rubber band around the back of it.(Like the picture above) Then place the paper air plane in the wood, pull back and shoot! The more power it has the farther it can go, the less it has a better glide! Thanks for reading and enjoy your new toy!
