Paneer pakora recipe
Panner pakora are a delicious Indian snake made with paneer, spices & gram flour. Pakora are much loved by most Indian especially during the monsoons and winters with Indian authentic tea. The main thing in the Panner pakora is Paneer, The English name of this item is “Cottage Cheese”. Most of the Indian love panner. Indian love panner pakora with ketchup also.
Ingredient
1) Panner (“Cottage Cheese”)
2) Chaat Masala (Indian masala)
3) Garam Masala (Indian hot Masala)
4) Red chili powder
5) Oil
6) Besan (Gram Flour)
7) Rice flour
8) Salt
9) Ajwain (Ajowan caraway)
10) Ginger chili paste
11) Water
Add Paneer to a mixing bowl.
Sprinkle chaat masala, garam masala and red chili powder. Toss to coat the panner well.
Add oil to a fry pan and heat oil.
Meanwhile make the batter. Add gram flour, red choli powder, sale, Ajowan caraway and ginger chili paste.
Add Water little by little as needed and make a thick, free flowing batter.
If the batter is too thick, it will not stick to the paneer, if it is too runny, then there will be lot of batter drippings. So, the consistency has to be moderately thick yet free flowing.
Check if the oil is hot enough by dropping little batter into it. It has to come up. Regulate the flame to medium. Dip paneer pieces, one by one in the batter and swipe off the excess to the bowl and drop it in the hot oil.
Do not add all the panner to the batter at one time.
Dip them one by one in batter & drop them in hot oil.
Do not disturb for few seconds. Stir and fry them until golden.
Drain panner pakora to a kitchen tissue and serve hot with the ketchup.
