Mix the flour, salt and baking soda together in a bowl.
Add egg, buttermilk and butter.
Stir together lightly and keep it a bit lumpy.
The batter should look thick-spongy-puffy.
Pre-heat and lightly grease a large non-stick pan or skillet or electric griddle.
